THE DIRECTORY OF OPTOMETRISTS & OPHTHALMOLOGISTS IN WASHINGTON DC

Very experienced and friendly staff. They have excellent service! I ordered my contacts and received them by the end of the week. They also have a much better selection than the other stores in Olney.

Do NOT go there. I went there, and had a exam which was fine. But then I had to get glasses. I have Davis vision that entitles me to a free pair and scratch resistent lenses. They claimed that I had to pay an allowance of $60 for glasses and $75 for lenses andthere were no 'free' options. I paid(wondering exaclty why I had insurance) then checked my policy and found out they do offer free ones Davis brand.I went back. They claimed it was a 'glitch' in their computer system, but when I asked the guy who actually waited on me and claimed there were no free ones, he stammered and said he didn't think they would fit me. Funny that he didn't say that before. These guys blamed Davis for the computer glitch. Davis said that wasn't true. Draw our own conclusion.

I've been going to this place for 15 years and always receive highly professional service from Drs. Fissel & Reed. But what really makes it special is Gary, the optician. He manages to stock an incredibly diverse, trendy, fashionable and focused array of glasses in a small space. He does his job with character and style, and makes shopping for eye ware fun.
Dr. Foley knows what he is doing. I am confident that under his care, our family's eyesight is as good as it can be. His explanations are detailed and thorough and he is generous with multiple trial versions of contact lenses. If he needs to make a referral, he handles it fast
Karis is a gem. She too know her business very well and is most helpful with balky insurance plans, as well as with choosing and fitting eyeglasses. It's also terrific to have the help of someone as unequivocal in his esthetic (and other!) opinions as Gary in selecting frames.
I have been going to Dr. Reed for 20 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my eye health. He is very thorough and knows his stuff. His office staff however has been questionable as of late. They don't appear to be very organized. I ordered contacts three weeks ago and Dr. Reed stated they should be in the office for pick up in 3-5 business days (which they always have been). I finally called today to check on the status and was told that my contacts had not even been ordered. I'm glad I decided to call and not trust the office staff to keep me updated. Dr. Reed is the only reason that I will continue to be seen in this office. I'll just have to call next time to make sure everything has been ordered correctly.
(This review is for the McLean location). Eye Central is as good as it gets. The web form to schedule appointments is convenient. No wait time to be seen. Dr. Foley is both personable and skilled; he developed a new test to help diagnose vision health. The office staff is friendly, and Gary the Optician is funny as well as talented at helping choose frames. I'm glad I found Eye Central.
They've earned a long-time customer.
When I moved to DC metro it took a while to find good doctors, so I was relieved to find Dr. Foley. He's smart and personable, and I trust him. The office is efficient and they are well organized with appointment reminders, etc.
Dr. Foley has coached both me and my wife through LASIK/PRK, and we continued to trust his judgment while he provided post-op care.
Kara is also great to work with on fittings, appointments, and general inquiries with the office.

Did I hear you say you want swanky chic glasses? Oh, yes you do. Admit it.
This is your place. Paige, the fantastic glasses lady, will find you frames that you'd never pick for yourself. Not sure on insurance options, and they are pricey, but hey, you want to look cute, right?
They also have a nice selection of hostess and birthday gifts....cute store!!!
My best girl and I got reading glasses from Paige a couple of years ago. Since then we've moved out of Loudoun County, and our eyeglass prescriptions have changed, but we headed back to Leesburg to get new glasses. They've got a great selection of EyeBobs, which are very cool looking (I got two pairs). Paige and her staff are helpful, and it's well worth the ride from Arlington.
I've lost track of how many pairs of gorgeous frames I've bought from Eyetopia over the years, but I can say I've gotten the same response with ever one..."Wow, your glasses are awesome!". I simply wouldn't go anywhere else, because I know I'm going to find something unique and perfect. Eyetopia has also become by go-to place in that moment of "Uh oh, I forgot I need a fabulous gift" panic. Between the handbags, jewelry, accessories and gourmet treats, I know I will walk out with the perfect gift no matter what the occasion. The selection speaks for itself, but what takes the Eyetopia experience over the top is the personal attention every customer gets. I feel like a VIP every time I visit!
Outstanding service. The staff take the time to really help you picks the BEST style for you. No rush, just friendly, helpful service. I was in there for at least an hour. You don't get that at the chains. I love my new glasses. You will pay more but in my opinion the customer focus and expertise as well as the unique selection of frames is worth it to me.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a Doctor's office! The staff on the phone where nice but from the time I walked in the office the receptionist was rude. The "nurse" never introduced herself. She did spend quite a bit of time with me and did most of the exam on my eyes. The Dr Egge was only in the room with me for 7 minutes. Told the nurse to give me some drops but nobody told me what to do with them. I was then told I would have to come back to get my eyes tested!!
